The Woman of the Year in Infrastructure and Transportation in the Track Tec Group

Marita Szustak, the President of the Economic Chamber of Land Transportation and the President of the Management Board Track Tec CONSTRUCTION, has been awarded with the title of Woman of the Year in Infrastructure and Transportation. The award was handed over during the Women’s Forum in Infrastructure and Transportation held at the Centre for Management of Innovation and Transfer of the Warsaw University of Technology.

Marita Szustak is an experienced manager in the railway construction industry. She holds the position of the President of the Management Board and Commercial Director at Track Tec CONSTRUCTION since April last year and is responsible for an effective increase of market advantages of the Track Tec Group on the domestic and foreign market. Previously, she held managerial positions in the executive companies in the railway construction industry, including the following functions: she was the Vice-President, Director of Marketing and Development at PrzedsiębiorstwoRobót Kolejowych i Inżynieryjnych as well as the Vice-President, Commercial Director at Trakcja PRKiI. Earlier, while working for ten years at the Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Komunikacyjnych in Cracow, she moved from the position of a construction engineer through middle management levels to the function of Director of Marketing and Production Preparation.

Business activity is not the one and only domain of Marita Szustak. For many years Mrs. Szustak has been active in professional industry organizations that are operating to improve conditions on the railway construction market. She performed, among others, socially function of the Vice President of the Management Board as well as the role of the Chairwoman of the Railway Construction Section of the Land Transport Economic Chamber. She holds the position of the President of the Chamber starting from March 2016. In addition, she was the Vice-President of the Railway Business Forum for two years. She was involved in the creating and functioning of the Investment Forum from the beginning of its activity - a kind of platform for dialogue between PKP PLK and the market of contractors, suppliers, designers and engineers with the Ministry for Transportation and other public institutions, such as the Centre for EU Transportation Projects or the Public Procurement Office. She is also the Co-chairwoman of the Council of Railway Express appointed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Construction, Mr. Andrzej Adamczyk. Mrs. Szustak was awarded for her achievements the Bronze Medal by the President of the Republic of Poland.

This year’s edition of the Women’s Forum in the Infrastructure and Transportation focused on the subject of the leadership in large organizations and intergenerational support. The Forum’s program was complemented by speeches of female authorities in the industry that talked about their ways to professional success. The activity of the Forum itself is aimed at encouraging young women to undertake professional challenges in the infrastructure and transportation industry as well as to create a networking platform for leaders who occupy high positions in the industries indicated.
