Quality of Track Tec sleepers certified by Deutsche Bahn AG

Deutsche Bahn AG awarded a Q1 Certificate to the Goczałków Plant operated by the Track Tec Group, the only manufacturer of prestressed concrete sleepers in Poland to receive that certification.

The Q1 certification procedure for the Track Tec plant took over three years to complete and included authorization of the German Federal Railway Authority, EBA, and HPQ supplier and product qualification by Deutsche Bahn AG.

This success paves the way for the Group to be able to compete in all tender procedures held by the German railways and supply sleepers to DB without the requirement of collective acceptance. This will help spur even stronger business growth on international markets.

In 2012, having received positive opinions from independent test centers and, more importantly, from the quality departments of DB itself, Track Tec obtained a HPQ Certificate as the first Polish company in the rail infrastructure component manufacturing sector. With this achieved, the way for supplies of B-70 prestressed concrete sleepers to German customers has been made open.

“Germany is a crucial direction in the Group’s business strategy as evidenced by a number of our investment projects on that market. Last year, we set up a plant in the technology park in Leuna, where new and regenerated turnouts, turnout components and specialist track superstructure devices are manufactured and assembled. This year, we are planning to start the construction of a prestressed concrete sleeper and turnout sleeper plant in Germany,” summed up Jarosław Pawluk, President of the Board of Track Tec Group.

Recently, Track Tec has won a public contract with the Latvian Railways for deliveries of prestressed concrete sleepers. The contract worth over EUR 9 million involves an overhaul of 90 km of tracks in Latvia and is to be performed in 2014−2015.
