Track Tec Group as Gold Partner of the Railway Congress

Track Tec Group participated in the 12th Railway Congress – the largest annual event for representatives of the railway industry. The Railway Congress was organised by Zespół Doradców Gospodarczych TOR (TOR Transport Consultants Group), Railway Business Forum and the monthly magazine Rynek Kolejowy (Railway Market), which provided a live broadcast of the event on its website.

The main focus of this year’s Congress was an overview of the changes that have taken place in the industry over the last year. The topics discussed included railway investment plans, hydrogen technology in the railways industry, as well as energy efficiency and challenges for freight transport and regional railways. The war in Ukraine was also an important element of the debates.

“As we are now in the process of defining our new business strategy for the coming years, we found the organisers’ decision to focus on the changes that have taken place in the industry since last year’s congress to be very helpful. We are glad that Track Tec Group is an active participant in the discussions of the industry’s representatives on the development of Polish railways in the face of the current global political and economic situation. We believe that participation in events bringing closer together the entire transport sector allows us to jointly work out solutions which best help develop the Polish economy,” says Krzysztof Niemiec, Vice-President of Track Tec S.A.

One of the points on the agenda of the Railway Congress was a debate on “Polish railways in the face of the global political and economic situation”, in which one of the panellists was Marita Szustak, President of the Board and Commercial Director of Track Tec Construction. During the discussion with specialists from the transport industry, the topics of opportunities and threats for the railways in the era of global crises, rail investments in Poland after the last two EU budget perspectives 2007-2013 and 2014-2020, and the implementation of development plans in the context of problems with EU and national funding were raised. The debate was moderated by Łukasz Malinowski, Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief at TOR Transport Consultants Group.
