Track Tec awarded by Rzeczpospolita daily

Track Tec Group received a special award for investment in the development and innovation of railway infrastructure. Track Tec smart turnouts for high speed lines, designed for speeds up to 250 km/h, railway turnout logistics using own dedicated train for the turnout construction and construction of a new railroad tie production line were appreciated.

At the 13th International Railway Fair TRAKO, its main media patron, Rzeczpospolita daily newspaper, granted awards for prominent companies in four categories: ecological development, emission-free public transport, investments in developing and innovating rail transport, innovative changes in business and the most innovative infrastructure management.

“Track Tec is an unquestionable leader in innovation in our industry, I am very pleased that it has been acknowledged once again, this time by the jury of the competition held by the national daily newspaper ‘Rzeczpospolita’. Each solution recognised in the award has a huge impact on the railway in Poland,” said Dr. Eng. Jarosław Pawluk, President of the Management Board, Track Tec S.A.

Track Tec developed the concept and introduced the Turnout Assembly Train. The train is designed for the transport of pre-tensioned (or wooden) turnout blocks assembled at the turnout bearers by rail, directly from the assembly hall at the manufacturer's site to the construction site, and their installation in the tracks directly from the wagons. Depending on the investor's or contractor's order, the TAT makes it also possible to perform all construction-related activities until the final commissioning. The transport of assembled turnout blocks in wagons is possible owing to the innovative loading equipment (UR-1) mounted on platform wagons with lowered floor (Uai series).

The jury of the competition held by Rzeczpospolita also appreciated Track Tec's smart turnout with an innovative induction heating system. It is the world's most innovative solution resulting from optimizing heat energy production by applying a complex algorithm that analyses many external factors. The solution's novelty also stems from the method of heat generation and selection of the place where it is generated. Heating is only provided to those turnout points that need to be heated, definitely contrasting with other designs.

The awards were handed out at the Gala concluding the first day of TRAKO Fair. This year's Fair attracted 700 exhibitors from thirty countries and offered 30,000 m2 of exhibition space. The rolling stock was displayed on tracks totalling one kilometre in length. The Minister of Infrastructure held honorary patronage over the TRAKO Railway Fair.
