Track Tec: Production line from Serbia already in Poland

The planned move of the prestressed concrete sleepers’ production line from a Serbian plant bought by Track Tec is becoming reality. After analysing locations in the country and abroad, the Group has chosen Goczałków.

“From the very beginning, our plant in Goczałków was at the top of the list in the context of the potential decision of installing the line in Poland” said Jarosław Pawluk, Sc.D., President of the Management Board of the Track Tec S.A. Group,
“The reasons for moving the line were the growing demand of PKP PLK and plans regarding the size of the expenditure for the modernisation of railway infrastructure after 2021, which were announced by the infrastructure manager,” he adds.

The line has been disassembled and the equipment is already in Goczałków. Launching the line and commencing production is planned for the beginning of 2018. The new line will increase the Group’s production capacity by 300,000 prestressed concrete sleepers per year.

The importance of this Track Tec’s undertaking, also for the investor, can be seen in the August PKP PLK forecast, which states that the demand for sleepers in 2018 will increase by 30% vs. this year.
