Production of Track Tec’s sleepers grows

The rising expenditures on the modernisation of the railway infrastructure in Poland have led to a significantly higher demand for the required materials and products facing the manufacturers. Our ambition should be to provide the highest possible quantities of reliable, high quality products manufactured in the Polish plants.

The Track Tec Group’s plants have been preparing to this task for a year. The preparation focused on streamlining manufacturing processes, especially of railroad sleepers and turnouts so that their quality meets the requirements of applicable standards and the market. The state-of-the-art concrete laboratory enables testing of concrete during production. One such lab has already been opened in Goczałków, another one will soon be opened in Suwałki.

“Having reliable sources of materials for manufacturing of sleepers and turnout components, technical solutions and control systems that guarantee their quality as well as highly skilled manufacturing and engineering personnel in place, Track Tec’s objective is to meet the market requirements both in terms of the quality as well as the quantity of supplied products”, said Jarosław Pawluk, President of the Management Board of Track Tec S.A.

In pursuit of this strategy the Management Board of Track Tec S.A. resolved to erect a second line for manufacturing pre-stressed concrete sleepers in the Goczałków plant. This will double the current production volume. The decision was made even though at present the Group’s plants have approx. 40% reserve production capacity.

The new line, combined with a number of other production and organisation measures, should satisfy the full demand for pre-stressed concrete sleepers on the Polish market in the next 10 years.

“Of course we will continue manufacturing products for international markets, which is currently being developed so intensively, but the Polish market remains the Track Tec Group’s priority”, said Jarosław Pawluk.
