Track Tec: Product premiere on the TRAKO International Railway Fair
KolTram (in the process of changing its business name to TRACK TEC KOLTRAM Sp. z o.o.) adds a new product to its portfolio, a tongue profile. The new product is said to have its premiere at the TRAKO 2011 International Railway Fair in Gdańsk.
A reforged tongue profile is one of the key elements of any railroad turnout. However up till now the Polish manufacturers have been unable to ensure a high quality of the reforging. In response to the market needs, apart from adding a new product to its portfolio, KolTram decided to go one step further than its competitors and expand its services with the machining of reforged elements that will ensure the superior quality of a reforged tongue profile. In addition, KolTram will now be able to offer profile pressing, a service that so far has not been available in Poland.

Reforging of tongue profiles consists in reshaping the tip of a tongue profile so that its shape matches the shape of a rail profile. The tongue profiles reforged in a specialist press in the Zawadzkie plant create a completely new quality offered to customers.
