A producer of advanced rail track systems strengthens one of Europe’s largest industrial groups in the field of track infrastructure.
TINES Rail S.A., a Polish producer of advanced rail track systems, is joining Track Tec Group, a leading international provider of solutions for railway infrastructure, present in more than 50 markets and possessing a manufacturing base that has helped shape Europe’s third-largest railway network for decades.
The joining of TINES Rail is the next stage in the implementation of Track Tec Group’s growth strategy, based on organic growth, mergers and acquisitions, and international expansion. For years, the Group has been building a complete offering for railway infrastructure, combining production scale rarely found in this part of Europe, execution expertise, the innovativeness of its proprietary technological solutions, and global sales reach. TINES Rail complements these capabilities with proprietary track systems, specialized material know-how and an R&D base.
We are consistently developing a Group capable of delivering complete solutions for railway infrastructure – from the production of key track components, through advanced technologies and services, to the delivery of investments on a scale of billions of euros. The technological solutions offered by TINES Rail will complement our portfolio in areas that Track Tec has been developing for many years. In this way, we are deepening our ability to execute the most demanding projects and consistently strengthening Track Tec Group’s position in international markets – said Jarosław Pawluk, PhD Eng, President of the Management Board, Track Tec S.A.
Global reach and growing potential
Today, Track Tec Group is one of the few European companies able to independently handle the entire rail track supply chain, and then its construction and modernization. It is a leading company in Europe offering a full product range – from prestressed concrete sleepers through rail fastening systems to the manufacture and delivery of switch panels ready for installation. This combination makes it possible to deliver projects of the highest complexity: from conventional and industrial railways, trough metro and tram systems, to high-speed rail lines.
Products bearing Track Tec name are today present from Central Europe and Scandinavia, through North and South America, to the Middle East, Asia and Africa. A significant percentage of the products manufactured at the Group’s plants goes to foreign markets. This is a steady flow of supplies to infrastructure managers, metro operators and urban rail systems.
European technology entering a new scale
TINES Rail’s offering includes among other things, ballastless track systems, rail fastening systems for ballastless track structures, integrated rail-road and tram-road surfaces, vibration isolation mats and specialized polymer products used in track superstructures. The company’s solutions are intended in particularly for applications in which structural durability, mitigation of dynamic impacts and noise reduction are of critical importance – including on railway lines, in metro and tram transport, in tunnels, on bridges and viaducts, and in other demanding railway infrastructure structures.
For more than two decades, we have built TINES on our own technical expertise, materials engineering, research and development, the competences of our team, and close cooperation with Polish scientific institutions. During that time, we have created proprietary technologies and gained experience delivering hundreds of projects in Poland and on foreign markets- from railways, metro and tram infrastructure, to solutions prepared for the most demanding applications, including high-speed rail. Joining Track Tec Group opens a new stage of development for TINES. Our technologies and know-how gain the opportunity to scale much more widely, and we become part of an organization with substantial industrial capabilities and a presence in more than 50 foreign markets. We see enormous potential in this. Together, we can develop new solutions and introduce Polish technologies to international rail infrastructure markets on a significantly broader scale – said Tomasz Szuba, President of the Management Board, TINES Rail S.A.
As part of the Group’s consistently pursued expansion into new foreign markets, and on Poland’s rapidly developing railway infrastructure market, this step further strengthens the Group’s offering at the most demanding railway infrastructure market – including ballastless track systems, vibration and noise protection, tunnels, engineering structures, urban transport and modern railway lines, including high-speed rail lines. Combining Track Tec’s industrial scale with TINES Rail’s technological base creates an organization capable of delivering complete track systems – from conventional ballasted track to the most advanced ballastless track structures – in Poland and on world markets.
