Track Tec as Platinum Partner of the 2nd High Speed Rail Congress in Lodz

The Track Tec Group, a leading international supplier of track superstructure materials, was the Platinum Partner of the 2nd High Speed Rail Congress, which took place on 16 March in Lodz.

The 2nd High Speed Rail Congress was held under the slogan “Harnessing Poland’s Potential”, The main theme of the event was the prospects for the development of high-speed rail in Poland in terms of rolling stock and infrastructure, as well as from the point of view of financing, regulation and state policy.

The debates were held in two parallel sessions: Session I, the 13th European Rolling Stock Forum, which brought together leading Polish and European experts in the field of rail vehicles; and Session II, dedicated to high-speed rail (HSR) infrastructure, featuring representatives of the design and construction sector.

Among the leading rail sector experts, representatives of the Track Tec Group were also present, participating in the congress opening, the opening debate, and a thematic session dedicated to HSR infrastructure.

Krzysztof Niemiec, Vice President of the Management Board of Track Tec S.A., delivered a speech preceding the opening debate titled “Railways among the priorities in the next EU financial perspective”. According to the expert, Poland’s advantage in this area lies in stable financing for rail infrastructure investments under the National Rail Programme for 2025-2030+2, as well as the upcoming EU financial perspective for 2026-2034, in which Poland is expected to be a major beneficiary. The development of rail transport, intermodal infrastructure, and environmentally friendly logistics hubs are among the European Commission’s key infrastructure priorities, also due to the importance of transport infrastructure – including modern rail infrastructure – for the resilience of the EU economy amid growing geopolitical uncertainty.

Moreover, Marita Szustak, President of the Land Transport Chamber of Commerce and President of the Board of Track Tec Construction, took part in the opening debate titled “A new EU strategy for the development of High-Speed Rail”. The panel discussion focused on the development directions of the European HSR network, the role of Central and Eastern Europe in expanding international connections, and the challenges related to integrating infrastructure and standards within the European transport system.

Marita Szustak clearly stressed the need for tender requirements set by investors to be formulated in a way that does not, from the outset, exclude domestic companies from participating.

Additionally, Andrzej Cholewa, Member of the Management Board of Track Tec S.A., participated in the debate “Implementation and integration of HSR projects – suppliers, contractors, technologies, and control systems” during the second session dedicated to HSR infrastructure. The discussion addressed the implementation of HSR projects in Poland, cooperation between contractors and infrastructure suppliers, as well as the role of modern technologies and control systems in building an integrated railway network. The Track Tec representative contributed valuable insights and experience from the perspective of a Polish HSR contractor.

The High-Speed Rail Congress, held for the second time this year, is the only major industry event in Poland dedicated to HSR, covering both rolling stock and infrastructure. The congress is co-organized by the TOR Economic Advisory Team, the Land Transport Chamber of Commerce, and the Railway Business Forum, with the ‘rynek-kolejowy.pl’ and ‘rynekinfrastruktury.pl’ portals serving as media partners.
