Track Tec Construction has completed the modernization of the Skierniewice–Bełchów section, thereby finalizing the reconstruction of railway line No. 11 between Skierniewice and Łowicz. The gross value of the work carried out amounted to PLN 134.2 million. The modernization covered approximately 8 km of railway line. The project was completed on schedule.
The scope of works included a comprehensive modernization of the railway infrastructure between Skierniewice and Bełchów. The track surface was renewed, the overhead contact line was replaced, and the platforms at the Mokra and Sierakowice Skierniewickie stops, engineering structures and level crossings were rebuilt. As part of the project, new railway traffic control equipment was also installed, integrated with the Local Steering Centre in Skierniewice. The installation of an automatic line-block system increased the route’s capacity and improved the management of passenger and freight traffic.

The benefits of the investment are already evident in day-to-day rail operations. Since 30 August, trains have been covering the route approximately three minutes faster. The new platforms improve access to the railway, including for people with reduced mobility, whilst the upgraded level crossings and new control systems enhance the safety of both rail and road traffic.
The works between Skierniewice and Bełchów were the final stage of the modernization of Railway Line No. 11. Between 2020 and 2023, the Bełchów–Łowicz section, Bełchów station and the Bobrowniki halt were modernized. The completion of this stage therefore marks the conclusion of the modernization of the entire Skierniewice–Łowicz route, which is important for both regional passenger and freight transport.
