Track Tec Construction, a company of the Track Tec Group, received the Second Degree Award in the Construction Project of the Year 2023 competition organized by the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians (PZITB), The award was granted for the development of detailed designs and the execution of construction works as part of the modernization of railway line No. 182 on the Tarnowskie Góry-Zawiercie section.

The award confirms the reliability and quality of Track Tec Construction’s work, which contributed to the improvement of the railway infrastructure on this important section. The success of the project is the result of an experienced team of specialists who successfully completed all stages of the modernization while meeting strict technical requirements. As part of the reconstruction, platforms at stations and stops were modernized, tracks were replaced, and bridges were renovated. The investment is of key importance for improving passenger and freight connections between Silesia and Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice.

The Construction Project of the Year competition has been organized since 1989 by the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians (PZITB). Its aim is to recognize and promote the best construction projects that achieve outstanding results in the investment process.

The competition covers newly constructed, reconstructed, extended, or converted buildings and infrastructure projects, which are evaluated in three stages.
