Track Tec Group received the prestigious Engineer Jozef Nowkunski Award in the “Infrastructure Innovations” at the 16th International Railway Fair TRAKO 2025. The competition, traditionally held alongside this key event for the railway industry in the region, recognized Track Tec S.A. for its innovative solution for railway switches – the Track Tec Condition Monitoring System (CMS).
Track Tec’s triumph in the Engineer Jozef Nowkunski competition highlights Track Tec’s significant role in advancing innovative technologies. The Track Tec Condition Monitoring System (CMS) is a state-of-the-art solution designed to continuously monitor the condition of railway switches. CMS combines four complementary modules: electrical, vibroacoustic, position of the switch point and the throw plate, as well as weather data. This setup ensures real-time online supervision of critical switch components, enables early detection of irregularities, and reduces the risk of failures and unscheduled maintenance work.
The CMS was designed with artificial intelligence algorithms in mind, paving the way for predictive maintenance of railway infrastructure. The system marks a major breakthrough in switch monitoring, and its implementation will significantly enhance the safety and reliability of infrastructure, both in Poland and internationally.
This year’s TRAKO, the leading event for the railway sector in Central and Eastern Europe, once again served as a platform for knowledge exchange, discussions about the future of rail transport, and the introduction of cutting-edge technologies. The recognition of Track Tec S.A. in the Engineer Jozef Nowkunski competition underscores the importance of Polish engineering and innovation in shaping the future of the railway industry.
