The Track Tec Group, a leading international supplier of track superstructure materials, was the sponsor of the Railway Club Conference – Infrastructure. The event took place on 26-27 March in Oradea, Romania.
Organized by Club Feroviar, the conference was held at the Ramada Hotel in Oradea, Romania. Railway infrastructure managers and rail transport operators presented projects aimed at improving connections and integrating rail transport in Central and Eastern Europe.
Andrzej Cholewa, PhD, Member of the Management Board, was the speaker representing the Track Tec Group. He took part in a debate on the modernization of European railway infrastructure, which discussed, among other things, increasing train speeds to 160 km/h, the causes of delays, and future projects and ways to improve them.
Other participants in the debate included Valentin Dorobanțu, Deputy Director General for Technical Affairs at CFR SA, representing the perspective of a railway infrastructure manager, and Petru Bogdan, General Manager of ASFR (Autoritatea de Siguranță Feroviară Română), representing the perspective of a regulatory institution.
The event brought together leading representatives of the Romanian railway sector and local authorities, including Constantin Andronache, Director General of AFER (Romanian Railway Authority), Petru Bogdan, Director General of ASFR (Romanian Railway Safety Authority), Mihai Barbu, Director General of Telecomunicații CFR, Florin Birta, Mayor of Oradea, Adrian Revnic, Director General of OTL (Oradea Transport Local), and Daniel Apostolache, Director General of Carpatica Feroviară. Their presence highlights the importance of the conference for the development of railway infrastructure in Romania and throughout the Central and Eastern European region.
