The Track Tec Group has won the Prize of President of the Polish Railway Transport Office (UTK) in the “Technical Solution” category for the Track Tec Condition Monitoring System (CMS). The prize was presented during the 9th Safety Culture Conference, held on 20th November in Warsaw, as part of the “Safety Culture in Railway Transport” competition.
The Track Tec Condition Monitoring System (CMS) is a prototype system for continuous monitoring of turnout conditions, shifting from periodic diagnostics to constant online supervision. The jury declared that Track Tec’s innovative solution best meets the competition criteria, including its innovation, contribution to railway safety, practical applicability, and its role in advancing safety culture. The prize was accepted on behalf of the company by Andrzej Cholewa, PhD Eng, Member of the Management Board and Chief Technical Officer at Track Tec.
“The highly integrated turnout, featuring the Condition Monitoring System (CMS) with the remote diagnostics system, was recently showcased at TRAKO 2025 and is the result of several years of work by the Track Tec Group toward creating an intelligent turnout solution. The CMS and remote diagnostics were initially designed to improve the reliability and technical availability of turnouts, which are a critical element of railway infrastructure. Nowadays, however, the railway system must be viewed from the perspective of its resilience to not only natural but also human-caused threats. The electronic monitoring system for turnouts and railway tracks can therefore significantly increase the overall resilience of the entire railway system,” Andrzej Cholewa, PhD Eng, Member of the Management Board and Chief Technical Officer at Track Tec, commented.
Track Tec’s innovative solution was first presented at the 16th International Railway Fair TRAKO 2025, where it was awarded in the Engineer Jozef Nowkunski Competition.
The Safety Culture Conference, organized for the ninth time by the President of the Polish Railway Transport Office (UTK), is the gala event of the annual “Safety Culture in Railway Transport” competition. This year’s conference also provided an opportunity to commemorate the 100th anniversary of UTK’s oversight of the railway system in Poland.
